Travel for home maintenance and home repair services is charged at the labor rate. For example, if I leave the shop at 10:15 AM and arrive at your site by 10:30 AM, .25 hours will be added to the bill. In this case, the travel charge would be $15.00.

If I do not have to make a special trip to get your materials for home maintenance, then it is just me sending you a receipt and you paying me the full amount of your parts purchased. If I have to make a special trip while providing home repair services, the hourly rate will continue to be charged for the trip.

Quoted work for home maintenance will be billed at the quoted amount. If there is any misunderstanding regarding the work that needs to be performed or if our expectations don't align, we will discuss and clarify this during the job. Extra materials beyond the scope of work will need to be paid for, as the quote generally covers labor only, along with suggestions for materials. Once materials are approved, this amount will be added to the quote, and the changes will be communicated via email or verbally. Additionally, our home repair services will ensure that all aspects of the project are handled with care.

Most customers prefer the hourly rate for home maintenance and home repair services. I charge $60 per hour from the time I start travel to your location until I leave. This makes billing simple, and if a customer doesn't appreciate my work ethic or isn't happy (which I haven't seen yet), then they can always request quotes for future home repair services, or choose not to hire me again.
